Without that discipline things could go wrong and if I did not carry out my duties professionally then I could endanger somebody’s life. For example, I want to become an aircraft technician which is an extremely responsible job. If I did not carry out my job correctly and also look after my tools and equipment then I would not only be failing in my duty, but I would also be endangering other people’s lives.  I fully understand why discipline is required and believe I would cope with it well. I understand that being in the RAF isn’t a 9-5 job but instead you are required to take on tasks whenever required.
